Between Land & Water
Perched on a cliff that towers over the Fiora River in front of Monte Calvo rises the village of Santa Fiora. From this town you can admire the wonderful mountain landscape but not only! Santa Fiora holds an incredible secret: from a small bordering church a famous river for this territory was born – The Fiora River – its springs are still visible and also easily visitable!
Local life and food
Thanks to this genuine and mountainous atmosphere, raw materials are rich in flavors and taste such as the EVO Oil, the delicious Montecucco DOC Wine, the fresh milk, or the tasty sweet local chestnut.
The Santa Fiora cuisine is also rich in traditional mountain dishes, one of its specialities is the chestnut polenta…you should absolutely try it!

Being a medieval village, Santa Fiora manages events that allow guests to experience living in an ancient medieval court. Many fairs, festivals and concerts give life to the town: vibrant music festivals, or the famous “Fiaccolata” that lights up its streets on a cozy winter night are just some of them.. If you are in Santa Fiora in autumn, when the weather gets cold, then visit the Chestnut Fair. It will warm you up!

Santa Fiora is located between Rome and Florence, easily reachable from these main italian cities by car.
The historic center of Santa Fiora is fairly compact and easy to get around on foot!
There are several natural trails in Santa Fiora’s surroundings to be enjoyed on foot or by bikes. During winter times, take the chance to visit the Amiata Mount, if there is a good season, you will be able to ski too!
