About one hour drive from Reggio Emilia, Ligonchio emerges as a town immersed in the most uncontaminated nature.
The ridge of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park majestically bows over the town. Here, an uncontaminated and protected nature surfaces, protected by the few inhabitants of the town.
Ligonchio can be ‘lived’ beautifully in all seasons. Through the sunny and warm summers and the snowy winters, this towns offers excursions of all kinds and local product tastings.

SURROUNDINGS
The panoramic view
Few towns offer breathtaking views as Ligonchio. Surrounded by the National Park, on such an altitude, both at day and night you will be able to admire a beautiful panorama of the valley.
Fun fact: you can admire the view from the Ligonchio Big Bench, an oversized
bench installed by the architect Chris Bangle.
Biodiversity
During hiking trips in Ligonchio it is possible to explore a wide variety of plants and species, that attract biologists from all over the world to explore the area. Our Town Angels are experts of the type of biodiversity that you can find around here, ask them!
The silence
This is the most striking element that comes up as soon as you step into Ligonchio: an almost complete absence of noise. Because of its secluded location, you can leave busy city noise behind, and listening to the soothing silence of the natural surroundings.
Mobility
The closest big city to Ligonchio is Reggio Emilia, about 1:30 hours away.
Bologna is also not too far off, with slightly more than a 2 hours drive.

The town of Ligonchio offers two great co-working spaces, each with different characteristics. The biggest working space is located inside the eco-hotel in the lower part of the village and it’s characterized by bright rooms, built entirely with eco-sustainable materials. It is fully equipped with tables and chairs, a big screen, flipchart, and during sunny days you can use its immense terrace and meet there.
The second co-working has very fast wifi, and works greatly for all your workation needs.
